Jacquelyn “Jackie” Bailey, 88, of Anderson, passed away on April 8, 2021, at Community Hospital Anderson.
She was born on March 31, 1933, in Cromona, KY to Jackson and Elizabeth (Morgan) Dotson. Jackie was a self-employed beautician for over 48 years, owning her own business, as well as being a partner with other local beauticians. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and the Middletown Chapter #110 Order of the Eastern Star. Jackie loved to play cards and go to the casino with her friends.
She married Jimmie Ray Bailey in August 1950, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Joyce Ann (Dotson) Norton, Gary H. Dotson, Mary Ellen (Dotson) Brumback, and Roger Wayne Dotson.
Jackie is survived by her children, Marcia (Buzz) Anderson, of Anderson, and Tony (Jane) Bailey, of Anderson; her special caregivers, Rosie and Dean Davis, of Anderson; grandchildren, Beth (Greg) Goff, Andy (Ivonne) Anderson, J. C. Wright, Mackenzie (Jeff) Bailey Ash, and Allison (Justin) Bailey Earls; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; her step-grandchildren, Chris Stolle and Joe Stolle; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
