Jacqueline D. Sinnaeve, age 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at her home in Gladstone.

 

Jackie was born July 7, 1940, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred (Lantz) Swick.  She was united in marriage to Richard Bates Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1970.  Jackie later met and married Gilbert Sinnaeve and together the couple eventually made their home in Gladstone.  Gilbert preceded Jackie in death on August 25, 1996.  Jackie served as a caregiver throughout many of the Delta County communities.  She was also employed as a secretary for the Gladstone Senior Center for many years.   Jackie was a member of First Lutheran Church in Gladstone.  Additionally, she was a life member of the Freeport 112 Baltic Star, in Rockford, IL, and also a member of the Drill Team.  Jackie enjoyed bowling, helping with Girl Scouts and serving as a Brownie Troop Leader.  She loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed.

 

Survivors include:

Sons:  James Bates, Jack Bates and Ronald Sinnaeve

Daughters:  Sandra Bates, Jackie (Scott) Mack and Pamela Bates She is further survived by her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

 

 

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mildred, husbands, Richard Bates Sr. and Gilbert Sinnaeve:

Sisters:  Joyce Ross, Patricia Martin and Jeanette Lee

Brothers:  Stuart Swick and Darrell Swick
