Jacqueline Maxine Muhammad, born on March 20th, 1934 in Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2023 at her home in Capitol Heights Maryland. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
Jacqueline was a woman of great strength and kindness who always put others before herself. Her generosity and love for those around her knew no bounds, and she truly lived life to the fullest. She often said that her greatest joy in life was being able to make a positive impact on those around her, and it is clear from the outpouring of love she received that she achieved that goal tenfold.
Jacqueline lived a long and fulfilling life filled with adventure and love. She graduated from Princess Anne County Training School/ Union Kempsville High School in 1952 and &was a& sponsor when the scholarship was established August 28,1999.& She attended Norfolk Division of Virginia State College, Norfolk State University majoring in Nursing Assistant before moving to Washington, DC and retiring from Saint Elizabeth Hospital.
Alongside her dedication to nursing, Jacqueline was also an active member of her community where she used her time and talents to help those in need. She volunteered at countless charities throughout her life, including homeless shelters and food banks. Jacqueline’s unwavering dedication to leaving the world a better place has left an indelible mark on everyone whose lives she touched.
Jacqueline’s love for travel allowed her to explore many parts of the world throughout her lifetime. Some of her fondest memories were from trips to Jamaica and Africa where she immersed herself in local cultures and made lasting connections with the people she met.
Despite all the accomplishments she enjoyed throughout her life, Jacqueline held being a mother to her five children, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren as one of the most significant accomplishments of all. Her unwavering love and devotion have left a lasting legacy that will reverberate for generations.
&While we feel the pain of her loss, we also celebrate the life she lived and the countless ways in which she made this world a better place. Rest in peace, Jacqueline Maxine Muhammad – your light will shine on in our hearts forever.
