Jacqueline “Jackie” (Eberle) Higley, 66, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette.
She was born August 5, 1955, in LaPorte to the late James Oliver and Agnes (Jorgenson) Eberle. She was a High School graduate and was employed as a Cook at Purdue University. She was also a very proud homemaker. On June 14, 1974, she married Richard Higley in Willamsport.
Jackie was a loving wife and mother to six children, but truly cared for everyone she ever met. She loved every one of her children’s friends as if they were her own. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially, new desserts. She was especially happy when she was crafting. Above all, Jackie cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Along with her husband Richard, she is survived by her 6 children, Talitha (Kevin Landeth) Leon of Lafayette, Tabitha Corbin of Otterbein, Tiva (Scott) Elliott of Remington, Priscilla (Brian) Hood of Fowler, Richard (Kelsey Wright) Higley II of Lafayette, and Zebulun Higley of Lafayette; 23 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Star Deardurff and Cindy (Joe) Vessels; 1 brother, Carl Eberle; 3 sisters-in-law, Jackie (Tristen) Thomas, Rebecca (Jim) Longstar, Cherie (Mike) Porter; and a brother-in-law, Steven (Trisha) Higley; many nieces and nephews,
