Jacqueline Curtis, 76, of Shiloh, IL, born August 9, 1936 in East St. Louis, IL, died Sunday, April 7, 2013. Jackie was a member of the Jehovah Witness in Belleville, IL and retired after 26 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Collinsville Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Helen M., nee Asbury, Emmerich and a son Patrick Curtis Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Susan) Curtis and Stanley Curtis, both of Shiloh, IL, brothers; John (Vicky) Emmerich of Carlyle, IL, James (Barbara) Emmerich of Wellsburg, WV, Thomas (Sheri) Emmerich of Pawnee, IL, Joseph (Debbie) Emmerich of O’Fallon, IL, Patrick (Kim) Emmerich of Shiloh, IL, sisters; Mary Carrigan of O’Fallon, IL, Jean Taylor of Shiloh, IL, Angela (Patrick) Simonds of Houston, TX, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At Jackie’s request, her body will be cremated with private burial of the cremains at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL. If so desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, American Diabetes Assn. or the Humane Society.
