Jacob “Jack” Zeilenga, age 89 of DeMotte, IN, passed away at his residence on November 20, 2018. He was born May 27, 1929 in Chicago, IL the son of Cornelius and Henrika (Jonkman) Zeilenga, both deceased.
Jack attended Chicago Pullman Technical High School, Class of 1947. He married the love of his life, Marilyn M. Prince in 1950 in Roseland, IL. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2015. Jack worked as a mechanical engineer for Verson Allsteel Press for many years. He was a faithful member of Community Christian Reformed Church of Roselawn, Indiana. Jack enjoyed singing in a quartet, woodworking and farming.
Jack is survived by his children: Jacklynn (Darryl) Ketelaar of DeMotte, IN; Paul (Mary) Zeilenga of DeMotte, IN; Caryn (John) Boon of Springfield, MO; Mark (Tracy) Zeilenga of Watkinsville, GA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
