Jacob Daniel Moore, age 29, of Rensselaer passed away Monday, November 16, 2020.
Jacob was born on April 6, 1991 in Rensselaer, IN to Daniel Moore and Wendi (Watkins) Haddock. Jacob graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 2009. He went on to attend Vincennes University, earning an Associate’s Degree in Conservation Law. He worked as a Journeyman Carpenter for the Carpenter’s Local 105 in Hobart, IN for the last 5 years, most recently for Pangere Corporation in Gary, IN. Jacob previously worked for Gibson Family Farms. On April 7, 2017 in Rensselaer, IN, Jacob married Jasmine Hall, who survives. Jacob was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He could frequently be found hunting deer and ducks. He was also a gun enthusiast. Jacob really enjoyed working with his hands building things and helping others with his maintenance skills. He was a drummer for an unnamed band that took first place at a Battle of the Bands at the Rensselaer bowling alley. Anyone who knew Jacob, knew he had a great sense of humor and was fluent in sarcasm. He truly enjoyed every moment spent with family and friends and his beloved dog, Louie. It was abundantly clear that he loved his family with his whole heart. Jacob was a loving husband and father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Jasmine Moore of Rensselaer, IN; his son, Charles Jacob Moore; parents, Daniel Moore of Rensselaer, IN and Wendi (Russ) Haddock of Williamsport, IN; maternal grandmother, Marsha Watkins of Williamsport, IN; paternal grandmother, Myra Moore of Rensselaer, IN; parents in law, Michael and Patricia (Patty) Fleming of Rensselaer, IN; siblings, Kegan Moore of Williamsport, IN and Damien (Kayla Gentry) Moore of Rensselaer, IN; step-siblings, Jason Haddock of Williamsport, IN, Matthew (Megan) Haddock of Portland, OR, and Katie (Dean) Story of Lafayette, IN; brothers and sisters in law, Timothy Fleming, Jack Ziese, and Jenelle Fleming, all of Rensselaer, IN and Jade Hall of Valparaiso, IN; nieces and nephews, Sophie, Jack, and Rowan Moore, Rylie Irvine, Ava Story, Dean Story Jr., Ryker Story, and Braden Haddock, Noah Fleming, and Carsyn Jesuit.
Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy Watkins and his paternal grandfather, Fred Moore.
