Jacob Austin Brookover, 21, of Shelley (Woodville), Idaho, went back to his Heavenly home, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after suffering a seizure in his home Thursday evening that resulted in respiratory and cardiac arrest.

Jacob was born June 17, 1996 to Darryl Lee and Helen “JoAnn” Isaacs Brookover, in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the youngest of five children. Darryl served in the Air Force and they were later transferred to the Mountain Home Air Force base. Darryl retired from USAF when Jacob was age nine. They then settled in Idaho Falls where the majority of Jacob’s family still resides. Jacob was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of seven and as a result Jacob was schooled at home.

Jacob was extremely intelligent and did well managing his own schooling from a young age. Jacob had an incredible memory for the written word and this helped him to achieve his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in administrative management. He then continued pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting online through Excelsior College.

Fortunately, Jacob met the love of his life at the young age of only nineteen years. Jacob and Kyra were sealed for time and all eternity August 27, 2016 in the Rexburg temple. They had a storybook marriage filled with laughter, light, and love. In November of 2017, they purchased an adorable home in the country, with land for animals to pursue their dreams of raising their family on a farm. Their first child is due this year, and Jacob was looking forward to the opportunity to be as amazing a father as he was a husband. Never has a man anticipated the arrival of his first child like Jacob did.
