Jackie W. “Jack” Sheidler, 85, of Pandora passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Hilty Home, Pandora.

Jack was born on June 22, 1935 in Hancock County, Ohio to the late Frank and Violet (Dukes) Sheidler. He married Nancy Scheerer on December 17, 1955 in the Hoytville U.E.B Church and she survives in Pandora. Also surviving are his children: Jack (Kimberly) Sheidler of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Jeril (Jeffrey) Bauer of Portsmouth, Ohio; Debera (Jeffrey) Miller of Findlay, Ohio and Stephanie Sheidler of New Carlisle, Indiana; 12 grandchildren: Kris Hamilton, Ryan (Angie) Hamilton, Jeanette (Eric ) Brammer, Robert (Katie) Bauer, Katherine Bauer, Jared Miller, Danielle (Dustin) Shafer, Courtney (Cody) Price, Jessica Artman, Aleesha Fetterman, Dawn Fetterman, Kiefer Fetterman;  great-grandchildren: Hailey, Brady, Addison, Owen, Oliver, Eliza, Ellis, Adler, Ezri, Weslie, Averie, Nevaeh and Terry; sisters: Judy (Fred) Altstaetter and Joellen Davis. He was preceded in death by his brother James Sheidler.

Jack attended Gilboa High School and his senior year moved to McComb; graduating in 1953. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Jack spent the majority of his working career at Dow Chemical in Findlay retiring after 28 years of service. Jack was a member of the Morrison-Moorhead VFW Post 9231 of McComb and American Legion Post #511 of McComb, where he served as Commander. Jack was instrumental in coordinating many pre harvest festival parades, including the Bicentennial Parade in McComb. Jack had served on the McComb Local School Board for many years.
