February 19, 1934-September 24, 2010 Anderson – Jack William Kennedy, 76, Anderson, died September 24, 2010 after an extended illness. He was born and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He retired from Delco Remy after 40 years of employment. After retirement, he was employed at Hoosier Park for two years. He was a lifetime resident of Anderson and served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sargeant.

Jack was a member of the First Church of Spiritual Science of Muncie and Camp Chesterfield, #734 Masonic Lodge – Solar Lodge Past Master Past Patron of Order of Eastern Star #604, Scottist Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, Madison County Shrine Club, White Shrine #11, Fall Creek Valley Conservation Club, Anderson Rifle & Pistol Club, NRA, National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, Past Member of Cherokee Alliance, Staff Sergeant of Indiana National Guard for 25 years and American Legion of Chesterfield.

He was an avid camper and outdoorsman, especially fishing. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. Walters Kennedy of Anderson. Son, Richard G. Debbie Kennedy of Anderson. Daughter, Kathleen Jaye Michael Freeman. Brother, Jay Phillip Mary Kennedy of St. Augustine, Florida and half-sister, Kay Kennedy. Grandchildren, Richard G. Kennedy II, Ryan C. Kennedy, Shanda Marc Fry, Haley Dustin Edwards, Hank Dolenski and Cody Freeman. Great grandchildren, Isabel and Isaiah Freeman and cousin, Martha L. Laughlin. Also surviving several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Leroy and Pauline Hockenberry Kennedy. Son, Jay Patrick Kennedy.
