Steven “Jack” Sinnitz passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 20th with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Joan (Petfield) Sinnitz, with whom he celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in September of 2021.

Jack was born in Bethlehem Pa March 7th, 1949 to the late Steven and Irene (Josar) Sinnitz. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and Northampton Community College. For many years, he ran the Weyhill Golf Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. It was here that he forged many lifelong friendships. He went on to own and operate his catering and concession company, Heaven on a Bun. The “Bun” was Jack’s passion, he put his all into the catering events, local fairs, and festivals he participated with. His favorite time of the year was Musikfest, where he would run up to 3 locations offering Burgers and other American Fare to festival goers. He was also very proud to feature the Karl Ehmer line of products at a host of events throughout the year.

When not focused on his business, he enjoyed traveling, including his annual family trips to Ocean City, Maryland, and southward bound adventures to Walt Disney World. He loved Disney so much he became a Disney Vacation Club member in 1992, ensuring he could venture to the Florida destination at least yearly. Just this past October, he and Joan visited Disney to be part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

In addition to his wife Joan, Jack is loved, and dearly missed by his daughter Cathryn Kelly, her husband Mike, his son Robert, and wife Vanessa; grandchildren Isla and Caroline Kelly, Asher Sinnitz, and Baby girl Sinnitz due in spring 2022. Jack was a member of St. John Windish Lutheran Church, attended Holy Infancy and St. Ursula Catholic Parishes. He participated with the Goodfella’s Social Club, the Mercantile Club, The Heights’s Club, the Jeff’s Club and the North End Wanderers Club and was a member of the Bethlehem Area chamber of Commerce. Jack will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, infectious smile, and innate ability to talk to just about anybody.

Heaven on a Bun looks forward to continuing to serve the community at the local festivals and events in 2022.
