Jack Schaddel Sr., 84 years, of Ashland, IL died Friday morning, January 19, 2007 at the Venice Regional Memorial Hospital in Venice, FL.
He was born October 7, 1922 in Oakford, IL; the son of Charles and Marie Vogt Schaddel. He married Ann Seaborn on April 28, 1951 at St. Augustine Rectory in Ashland, IL and she survives.
He is also survived by a son, Jack Schaddel Jr. (wife, Donna) of Pleasant Plains; three daughters, Nancy Eck (husband, Albert) of Springfield, Kathy Bomke (husband, Brian) of Pleasant Plains, and Tammy Stone (husband, Rick) of Pleasant Plains; 12 grandchildren, Albert Eck III (fianc©, Kim Herrick) of Springfield, Gretchen Eck of Springfield, Emily Sergot (husband, George) of Des Plaines, Katie Schaddel (fiance, Pal Patel) of Raleigh, NC, Matt Schaddel of Springfield, Jessica, Justin, Jordan Ann and Janeese Bomke, all of Pleasant Plains, and Morgan Ann, Cody Lea and Trevor Stone, all of Pleasant Plains; 6 step grandchildren, Anne Schuh (husband, Bill) of Delavan, WI, Fred Eck (wife, Kay) of Wheaton, Mike Eck (wife, Jeni) of Cobden, Phil Eck (wife, Shirley) of Springfield, Mary Kate Ressel (husband, Ken) of Springfield, and Robin Kerner (husband, Brian) of St. Charles; 20 step great grandchildren; three sisters, Eileen Jones of Petersburg, Nora Viands (husband, Robert) of Rockford, and Mary Ann Cosner of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Schaddel (surviving wife, Dolores of Jacksonville) and Richard Schaddel (surviving wife, Doris of Springfield).
Mr. Schaddel was a graduate of Ashland High School and a life long farmer. He was a past president and former board member of Ashland Farmers Elevator and a former member of the Cass-Morgan Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Ashland and the Knights of Columbus in New Berlin.
