Jack Rhoads, age 90, of Belton. Mr. Rhoads died Thursday at his home in Belton. He was born July 3, 1921 in Eagle Springs, Texas to Andrew J. and Monnie (Phelan) Rhoads. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He married Betty Jean Kuykendall October 13, 1950 in Austin, Texas. He worked for 26 years at Fort Hood as a master electrician, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife Betty Rhoads of Belton, 3 daughters, Barbara Rhoads of Belton, Denise Mayfield of Buda and Vickie Wade of Austin, 3 sons, Billy Jack Rhoads of Temple, Jay Rhoads of Pflugerville and Jeff Rhoads of Belton, 2 brothers R. V. Rhoads of Andice and James Rhoads of Belton, 2 sisters, Della Henie of Marble Falls and Jeanette Billeck of Belton, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
