Mr. M.A. “Jack” Pitts, age 66, of Valley passed away at his residence on Monday, April 6th, 2015.
Jack was born on Saturday, January 8, 1949 in Langdale, Alabama to the late, Marcus M. and Bessie Pitts.
He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores B. Pitts; son, Michael S. Pitts, Valley; daughter, Emily (Jody) Sorrells, Lanett; grandchildren, Logan Pitts, Skyler Sorrells, Alyssa J. Sorrells, Tristan Pitts, River Pike, Scott Sorrells, Micah Sorrells.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles A. Pitts; brother, Jamie Myhand.
Mr. Pitts was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was retired from the United States Postal Service in West Point, GA after 34 years of service. He loved baseball, softball, and camping. He especially loved his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Alabama Football fan.
