Jack L. Wise, 71, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at his Marion, Indiana residence. Born Saturday, August 14, 1943 in Marion, Indiana, he was one of seven children born to the late James Homer Wise and Opal (Whistler) Wise.
Jack was a 1962 graduate of Hartford City High School and was an Army Veteran. He married the love of his life, Linda K. Johns, on April 22, 1989.
Jack retired from General Tire after 35 years where he worked as a press operator. Jack loved being outdoors, hiking, camping, and feeding all kinds of wildlife including the family cat, Cassie. He recently had the privilege of walking his granddaughter Alyassa down the aisle to Zachary Shenfeld.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, son, Kris Wise of Marion, IN, daughters, Vanessa L (Mark Brubaker) Smith of Somerset, IN, Patti (Tim Bailey) Harmon of Marion, IN and DeLena (Phil) Ramos of Van Wert, OH, brother, Mike (Mary) Wise of Salem, OH, sister, Pat (Zirmi) Zirkle of Marion, IN; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
