Jack L. Self of Crawfordsville died Friday morning at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was 82.
Born on Oct. 17, 1927, to parents Earl Self and Lillie (Wiseman) Self in Montgomery County, Mr. Self had retired from R.R. Donnelley’s after 45 years.
He served in the US Army from May 1946 to October 1948. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, and American Legion and was educated in Darlington.
He married Peggy R. Henderson, who survives.
Additional Survivors include daughters Terri (Randy) Trinkle of Crawfordsville and Jeri Jones of Pendleton; sisters Ginny Anglin and Flossie Tonda; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brenna Sweek, and sisters Dorothy Jahnke, Florence Floury, and Ada Pickering.
