Obituary of Jack L. Richardson
RICHARDSON, Jack L. of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Harrah, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan, surrounded by his family. He was 82 years old. Jack L. Richardson was born on January 12, 1930 in Ray City, Oklahoma to the late Joe Isaac and Eva (Williams) Richardson. He married Linda Jean Knight on August 26, 1956. Jack later married Linda Sleeseman on September 6, 1997; she survives him. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Oklahoma University. He was an avid fan of OU’s football and basketball teams. Jack was a self-employed businessman, owning Richardson Insurance Agency in Harrah, Oklahoma. He also worked for the Benton Brothers Film Forwarding Company for 20 years in Atlanta, Georgia. Jack was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church on Mannion Road. His life revolved around the Lord and his church. Besides serving as a Gideon, for over 20 years, he also enjoyed studying the Bible, listening to classical, gospel and country music.
Surviving are his loving wife, Linda; a daughter, Robyn (Mikael) Robton; a stepson, Michael (Jamie) Sleeseman; three step daughters: Vicki Merrill and her husband, Steve Nelson, Janelle Sleeseman, Elaine Wild; four grandchildren: Malachi, Elisha, Saralyn, Jenna; a brother, Joe (Pat) Richardson of Harrah, Oklahoma; three sisters: ErmaDean Linville of Muse, Oklahoma, Eunice Wright of Garland, Texas, Joceil Dawson of Ooltewah, Tennessee. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Jack was preceded in death by a son, Devin Richardson, and two brothers: Jerry and Gene.
