Jack L. Huffman, 75, of rural Linton, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born on March 25, 1932, to Olas L. and Frances Jean (Maners) Huffman. On November 22, 1972, he married Doris A. Moody.

Jack graduated from Bloomfield High School in the class of 1950. He joined the US Navy and served during the Korean War. Later he took a job with Otis Elevator in Bloomington, IN, where he worked 24 years and retired in 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Doris A. Huffman of Linton, IN, one son: Jack O. (Debbie) Huffman of Bloomfield, IN; two daughters: Lisa (Bill) Arnold of Bowling Green, KY, and Kathy L. (Tim) Turpen of Bloomfield, IN; five grandchildren: Heather, Ashley, Shane, Jared and Justin; and 3 great granddaughters: Darien, Camryn, and Amelia. Two aunts, Billie Brown and Nina Thompson, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Norma and Frank Miller, also survive.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.
