It is with sad hearts the family of Jack (Jackie) L. Ambs, 61, announces the passing of our dear son, brother, uncle, and friend, on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was born November 24, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Mary and Jack (deceased) Ambs.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ambs; his twin brother Mike (Joann) Ambs; sister, Sandra Ambs; brother, John Ambs; and brother-in-law Jerry Dinzik; nephews and nieces, Michael (Regina), Katelyn, and Mike Ambs; Michelle (Matt), Ryan, and Ally Fielbrant; Jeremy (Shelly) and Andrew Dinzik; Stacy (Bailey), Paisley, and Greyson Cupp; Aunt Jerri Farrington (Tom); several cousins and friends.

He attended Galesburg-Augusta school for early education then completed his education at the John F. Kennedy Center in Kalamazoo, where he participated with Special Olympics and the 4-H program. Jack enjoyed all things tractor and farm related.

He was a member of the Michigan IH (International Harvester) collectors Chapter #11 and in previous years helped restore an IH McCormick Farmall H tractor with his Dad and brother John. Jack found pleasure in the country rides with his family seeing who could spy the most tractors with Andrew and John and keeping up with the activities of the farming community. He also enjoyed his time spent on his grandparents’ farm and family trips to the Upper Peninsula.

He was such a kind and loving person with a smile that would warm your heart. Always ready to lend a hand. Jack also appreciated all things in nature.
