Jack (Jackie Jo) J. Godfroy, 75, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Godfroy was born on December 7, 1943, in Huntington, IN, to the late Ralph E. “Bud” and Halcyon J. (McClurg) Godfroy.
Mr. Godfroy graduated from Huntington Catholic High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Jackie Jo worked at City Beverage and retired in 1999. Prior to City Beverage he worked for the Huntington City Fire Department. He was a member of the Miami Indian Tribe of Oklahoma, St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN, and a life and 1st Degree member of the Knights of Columbus #1014 Huntington, IN, VFW #2689 and American Legion Post 7.
Jackie Jo is survived by one daughter, Carrie (Joshua) Salter, Huntington, IN; three step-sons, Todd Foor, Columbia City, IN, Mike (Cheryl) Foor, Huntington, IN, John (Mary) Foor; Fort Wayne, IN; two step-daughters, Kim (Dave) Working, LaFontaine, IN, Nikki (Ray) Pearson, Huntington, IN; two grandchildren, Taylor Godfroy, Huntington,IN, Nathaniel Godfroy, Kokomo, IN; 11 step grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and 13 step great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy (Gummy) E. Godfroy.
