KLINE, Jack H. Portage Passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014, at the age of 74. Jack was born in Kalamazoo on April 26, 1940. He was a resident of Portage, MI, for 47 years. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kay Setter Kline and their children, Jeffrey T. Connie Kline of Grand Rapids, Kathleen A. Kline of Kalamazoo, Joseph E. Tracie Kline of Vicksburg, and Jerome H. Kline of Portage; grandchildren Nicole Kline, Matt Kline, Rachel Kline, Angela Kline, Emily Patterson, and Megan Kline; great grandchildren Kylie Tunier and Kelsie Tunier; sisters MaryLou DeRyder, Ethie Kendrick, Margaret Phil Upson Cutshaw, Marty Terry Buttery; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lois Houts Kline, and sister Margery Kline Parker. Following graduation from Richland High School in Richland, MI, he served 8 years in the US Army including Fort Belvoir, VA; Greenland; Fort Hood, TX; Germany: Fort Leonard Wood, MO; and Vietnam. Following service to the country he was employed in retail delivery before settling into the paper making industry. Completing 33 years of service, he retired from Georgia Pacific in 2003.
