Jack Fender Hensley, 78, Anderson, died August 8, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born January 15, 1925 in Bloomington, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area most of his life. He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors as a Senior Process Engineer after 32 years of service.

He served his country as a Private First Class in the US Army during WWII and as a First Lieutenant in the Airforce Reserves. He served in the 137th Regiment, 35th Infantry Division in the European Theatre. He received a Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and an American Theatre Ribbon. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Anderson. He was a past President of American Electroplaters Society.

He is survived by his Wife: Lenora Goldsmith Hensley. Children: Jack Hensley of Anderson. Rebecca Hensley of California. Laura Hensley of Anderson. Thomas Hensley of Anderson. Sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Dilts. Elizabeth Hensley Accountius. Four Grandchildren: Christine, James, Derrick and Heather. Three Great Grandchildren: Dylain, Khairi and Derrick Jr. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Hugh & Flowene Fender Hensley. Brother: William Hensley.
