Jack (Pops) Feldmeyer, 79, of Penrose, Colorado, passed away October 23, 2022. He was born November 18, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Dolores (Stark) and John Feldmeyer.
After moving to Colorado, he lived with his aunt Evelyn and was all state in high school football. In April 1964, he joined the army as a Green Beret and after a tour in Vietnam returned to Colorado. In the 1970s, he lived in Wisconsin working for the Neenah Foundry. In 1982, he met Sherry Osborne, who proceeded him in death in 2020, and they lived in Palmer Lake before settling in Penrose in 1988. He worked for Transit Mix Concrete company for almost 40 years, where he was known as Pops.
Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He was most proud of his bowling ring for is 299 score. You could find him in Gunnison at his camper during the week playing poker or you could also find him at the VFW for happy hour every day.
He is survived by his children: Misty (Randall), Brandy (Bryan), Schaline (Ruben), Kenny (Lea); and grandchildren: Nicholas (Hannah), Jeremy Jr, Colton, Liam, Devin, Logan, Christian, and Ilyse; great grandchildren, Adrianna and Vivian; and close family, Gary and Paula Rupert. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Sherry; son, Jeremy Sr; mom, Dolores; aunt, Evelyn; and beloved dog, Tucker.
