Jack Eugene Gain, 74, of Clarksburg passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his residence.
He was born July 30, 1941 in Salem, the son of the late Jesse Gain and Bernice Nutter. Jack loved his family and was a great Dad and Papaw. He was an avid sports fan and especially supported the Notre Dame High School teams.
Jack is survived by his step-son, John Merriner (Penny) of Winchester, VA; three daughters, Shelley Matheny (Ron), Regina Seamon and companion Matt Womeldorff, Jacqueline Karakiozis all of Clarksburg; one brother, Edward “Tom” Nutter (Linda) of Salem; five grandchildren, Clarissa, Rita, Mary Catherine, Eugenia Rose, Michael Joe; and nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Haleigh, Joshua, Hannah, Daniel, Dominick, John Merriner, Jillian and Mia; a special grandpup, Hopper.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Alma DeLuca Gain.
