Jack Edward Albright, age 84, of Salem, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at the Auburn Nursing Center in Damascus with his family at his bedside. He was born September 28, 1929 in East Fairfield, Ohio, son of the late Roy and Mabel (Marnlee) Albright. Before his retirement in 1988, he was a self-employed truck driver with Kaplan Trucking Company and had previously worked for the Buckeye Coal Company. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Leetonia. Jack was a 50-year member of the Salem Perry F&AM #185 and a 50-year member of the Scottish Rite in Youngstown. He served twice with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the 3rd Army Medical Division. Upon discharge was a member of the Army reserve. His wife, Jean (Brunner) Albright, whom he married November 10, 1951, survives him along with a son, Brett (Michelle) Albright of North Royalton; a daughter, Rhonda Stewart of Lisbon; two sisters, Eileen Bender of Calcutta, OH and Beverly Schultz of Boardman; and 8 grandchildren. Two brothers, Don and Russell; an infant brother; a daughter, Lori Flinn; two sisters, Vivian Bender and Dolores Albright preceded him in death.
