Jack E. Derbyshire, 89, of DeLand, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Port Orange, Florida.

Jack was born on June 12, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Effie (Kelly) & Thomas Derbyshire.

Jack proudly served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. For his military service and accomplishments, he was awarded the China Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Ribbon. He later worked as the head custodian for the Clark Pleasant School District until his retirement in 2011. In his free time, Jack enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite football team, the Indianapolis Colts.

Jack is survived by his two children, Mindy (Larry) Carter of Port Orange, FL and Bruce (Louise) Derbyshire of Greenwood, IN; his four grandchildren, Mike Snow, Dylan Derbyshire, Dalton Derbyshire, and Joshua Derbyshire; his five great-grandchildren, Karli Snow, Kyle Snow, Kloey Snow, Katelyn Snow, and Steele Derbyshire.

Jack was preceded in death by his two sons, Kirk A. Derbyshire and Michael E. Derbyshire, his wife, Betty Jean (Burdine) Derbyshire, his parents, Effie & Thomas Derbyshire, three sisters, and five brothers.
