Jack E. Cramer, Jr., age 81, of Salem, Ohio, died at 11:52 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1931 in Barnesville, Ohio, the son of the late Jack Sr. and Esther (Hendershott) Cramer. Before his retirement, he had worked for 31 years as a pattern maker at the Eljer Company in Salem. After retiring he started Cramer Appliance Repair in Salem. He was a devout family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Salem V.F.W. Post 45 and the Salem Fraternal Order of Eagles #316. Jack was an inductee to the Salem Bowlers Hall of Fame and was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ruth (Mayhew) Cramer and children, Kay Williams of Massillon, Karen (Ray) Griggy of Leetonia, Phylis (Steve) Smith of Leetonia, Dale (Lisa) Cramer of Salem, Tom and Tim Cramer of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Jackie Andrason of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Elizabeth White of Salem and Maxine Lasky of Tennessee;14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A step-son, Randel McNeal preceded him in death.
