Jack Drasko, age 85 passed away in his sleep at home on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Crestview, FL. He was born in Moatsville, West Virginia on November 11, 1930, to Lucy and Daniel Drasko. He graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1948 and joined the United States Army in 1949.
Jack graduated from the University of Florida in 1957 with a degree in Agriculture Economics and went to work for Farmers Home Administration for the next 30 years, retiring in 1985. Jack was avid yard sale enthusiast and enjoyed weekend treasure hunting with his son Mike. He also enjoyed reading and was a steadfast and patient patriarch of a very large and loving family.
Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Ann Dyess of Rosington, Alabama; one sister Helen Morgan of Walnut Hill, Florida; one brother Mack Drasko of Gainesville. FL; four children Mike and Pam Drasko, Gayle and Mike Kent, Marcia Drasko-Fox and John Fox, Angela Sheets of Crestview, FL, 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Jack was preceeded in death by his parents Lucy and Daniel Drasko; Sister Marcella Robinson and brother Dan Drasko, Jr.
