Jack Dozier, 67, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, April 17th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Marion County, SC, he was the son of the late James Backus and Francenia Dozier. Jack loved fishing and traveling. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Williams of Pamplico, SC; three brothers, Earl Dozier of Marion County, SC, Franklin Dozier of Irvington, NJ and Clinton Backus of MA; five sisters, Wilhelmenia Burch of Marion County, SC, Norma L. Treadwell of Marion County, SC, twin sister Betty Hill of Middletown, Ruth Williams of East Hartford and Carlene Backus of MA; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
