Mr. Jack D. Hobbs Sr., Age 62, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away at his home Wednesday October 3rd, 2018 after an extended illness.
Jack was born in Lewis County, Ky., October 12, 1955 to the late Wilford and Opal Mae McCleese Hobbs. Jack worked for Jeff Ginn Blacktop Company for several years.
Surviving Jack are four sons- Joshua (Booner) Hobbs and his fiance’ Theresa Aber and daughter Addison of Newark, Ohio.
Faron (Heather) Hall of Newark, Ohio; Shane Hall of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and Travis Hall of West Virginia.
One daughter- Jeanie (Steve) Gill and there sons Eric & Cameron McCann of Tollesboro, Ky.
Sisters- Darlene Barker of Bucyrus, Ohio; Nancy (Roy) Carrington -Vanceburg, Ky.
Brothers- James Hobbs-Vanceburg, Ky.; Kenneth (Regina) Hobbs- Black Oak, Ky; and Roger Hobbs of Aberdeen, Ohio.
Several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.
Preceded in death beside his parents were brothers- Roy Gene, Virgil, Ralph, Willie, Kendall and Gary Hobbs. One sister- Marlene Sue Williamson.
