Jack C. Schroeter, 84, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 29, 1937 in Centralia, the son of Herman R. Schroeter and Sylvia E. (Jackson) Schroeter. Jack is survived by his children: Jack W. Schroeter and wife Sally of Centralia, Brenda Schroeter of Centralia, and Nina Benzing and husband Glenn of Salem; grandchildren: Jack T. Schroeter, Justin Oestreich, Trisha Mulvaney and husband Zack, Kenny Benzing and wife Kayla, Cory Benzing, and Tim Hill; six great-grandchildren: Trevor and Kailey Hill, Madysen and Kamerin Arnold, Abel and Adalynn Benzing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son: Matthew Schroeter, and his brother: Gene Julius Schroeter. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia as a Telephone Technician for 26 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and metal detecting. Jack has driven all over the United States and even in Canada. He was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge 1219 and a former member of the Centralia Masonic Lodge 201. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
