Jack Byron Brown, 85, of Franklinville, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro only four days after his beloved wife, Eldred of 67 years.
Jack was a native of Randolph County and retired from J. P. Stevens. He was an avid cattle farmer. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Eldred Frazier Brown, parents, Colvin and Ethel Laughlin Brown, sister, Betty Lou Bowers, brothers, Jimmy Brown, Ray Brown, sister-in-law, Martha Brown.
Survivors: daughter, Dawn Austin, and husband, Kenneth, of Climax, son, Rodney Byron Brown, and wife, Delaine, of Franklinville, brothers, Irvin Brown, of Asheboro, Allen Brown, of Archdale, grandchildren, Jason Austin, and wife, Della, of Climax, Kasey Austin Wood, and husband, Brian, of Climax, Nathan Brown, of Norfolk, VA., step-grandchildren, Derek Funk, and wife, Brittany, of Franklinville, Cody Wood, of Seagrove, nine great-grandchildren.
