Jack Albert Rockley Sr. was born in Jacksonville, FL. In 1930.

He joined the U.S. Army, and then changed to the Army Air Corp which became the U.S. Air Force. He fought in 3 wars, WWII, Korean and Vietnam. He retired as Master Sgt. with 21 years of total military service. Before retiring he was an Instructor of Inertial Guidance.

After his retirement from the USAF, he worked for McDonnell Douglas as a Technical Representative for avionics. While working for McDonnell Douglas he was a music minister and received his theology degree and became a licensed Southern Baptist Minister. After retiring from McDonnell Douglas he moved to San Antonio, TX. where he lived before making his residence in Hazel Green, Alabama.

Besides being active in the Masons, Shrine, and Scottish Rite, he was also a past Rainbow Girls board member in San Antonio, Texas.

He married the love of his life Dorothy Long and they were married for 62 years before she preceded him in death. He has 3 children which survives him. Gale Freed (Dennis) of Port St. John, Florida. Shari Myhre (Keith) of Hazel Green, Alabama and Jack Rockley Jr. (Jerayme) of Katy Tx. He has 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides teaching ballroom dancing, he enjoyed genealogy and had traced our family back to early years. He loved to joke and tease, and loved the old hymns and country music.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jack died at home surrounded by family.
