Jack Adolphus Morgan, age 87, of Lanett, Al. died on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky from complications with pneumonia.
Mr. Morgan was born August 30, 1926 in Chambers County, Al. to the late Louetta and Elbert Timothy Morgan. Jack Morgan was a shop and industrial arts teacher at Lanett High School in the 60’s and early 70’s. He taught Drafting and Design at Opelika State Technical College now part of Southern Union Community College in the 70’s and 80’s. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lanett.
He is survived by three sons; Mark Timothy Morgan and his wife Kathy of Ludowici, Georgia, Joe Michael Morgan and his wife Karen of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Jonathan Jack Morgan of Lagrange, Georgia. He is also survived by his brother Bobby Morgan of Lanett, Al and sister, Francis Richards of Evans, Ga, and by dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins and by all of the students whose live’s he affected through the years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marvilene Norred Morgan and his older brother Charlie Morgan of Lanett.
