He is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Frances Scholl Foster; sister, Dina Foster Thain; nine children and their spouses: John William Foster IV and Lourdes; Cynthia Annette Jordan and Doug; Sharon Louise Youngblood and John; Angela Mary Foster and Gary; Barbara Sue Garcia; Martin Robert Foster and Mary; Christopher Michael Foster, SFC and Lisa; Pamela Jeanette Pruett; David Anthony Foster and Tatum; eighteen grandchildren and their spouses: Andrea Celeste Perkins and Eric; Amanda Michelle Fehlman and Pete; John William Foster V and Jane; Michael Anthony Foster; Matthew Angelo Foster and Rose; Aaron Youngblood and Lauren; Adam Youngblood and Denise Cirone; Joshua McKenzil Tharp, Lt. William is preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Gloria Mae; father, John William Foster II; mother, Charlotte Louise Hicks Foster; and a granddaughter, Ashley Michelle Tharp. William graduated Colorado Military School and attended The University of Denver.
