J. R. Jones of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 24, 1928 in England, Arkansas the son of the late William R. And Mary Elizabeth Howard Jones. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church, was retired from Arkla Gas, served on the Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department, was a member and past master of the Sheridan Masonic Lodge #260 and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
Mr. Jones died Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff at the age of 75.
