Ivory “Ivie” Donaldson Scott Jr., 61, transitioned from Labor to Reward on December 20, 2021.
He was born on April 8, 1960, in Marion, Indiana to Ivory Sr. “Boosie” and Ethel Mae (Broomfield) Scott. Ivie was a graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1978. He will be remembered as a loving and outgoing man that knew no strangers. Ivie enjoyed riding his Yellow Schwinn bike, Cookouts, and fishing. His greatest passion was his family, especially playing with his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Ivie is survived by his daughter Shammeka Scott; son’s Maurice Snow and Allen Horton, all of Marion; significant other Roxanne Becktell, Aunt’s Velma Broomfield and Della Leonard; sibling’s Randell (Elizabeth) Scott of Marion, Jammie (Daryl) Waddy of North Carolina, Andy (Gloria) Broomfield, and Tony Broomfield, both of Marion, lifetime friend Lesa Horton, and special friend’s Timothy Jones and Jeffrey Walker.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Ivie was preceded in death by his parents,Ivory Sr. “Boosie” and Ethel Mae (Broomfield) Scott, daughters Shakuena Horton and Antashayla Norwood, and brother Paul Scott.
