Long time resident, Mother Ivery L. Bryant, daughter of the late Earl and Mae Lee Carter and transcended from earth to glory to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2013. Ivery was born in Bellevue, Louisiana on November 27, 1919.
Her youngest years were spent in Bellevue, Louisiana but young, feisty, proud Ivery had to soon move to California the girls, Jessie and Carrie followed soon after. Ivery attended elementary school in Louisiana. Her high school education was completed in California.
Ivery was united in marriage to the tall handsome Tom Bryant in July 1948. Tom was her most loving and avid supporter. He supported her financially and physically in every endeavor. Tom and Ivery together were an excellent team. Mother Bryant was blessed with two beautiful daughters; Carrie M. Thomas and Jessie M. Bryant. They were so close and did almost everything together.
