Ivan Strass, 76, Huntington, Indiana died at his residence on February 16, 2008 at 12:20 AM. He was born August 12, 1931 In Huntington, IN to Antoni and Catharine Siemik Strass. His parents preceded him in death. He married Marguerite (Sue) Leming February 16, 1957.
She survives and lives in Huntington. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. Mr. Strass also served in the US Army. Mr. Strass was a 1949 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. He also graduated from Huntington College and St. Francis College. He was a teacher at Huntington Catholic in the 60’s. Mr. Strass gave educational programs on reptiles to schools and to Boy Scouts.
He retired from Hunckler Products, Huntington, IN as a salesman; He later worked as a Janitor at the Huntington Library. Additional survivors include 2 Sons: Kirk Strass and Erik Strass both from Huntington, IN; 2 Daughters: Angela Strass, Fort Wayne, IN and Katrina Mitten, Huntington; 1 sister Lorraine Kellam, Warren, IN; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
