Ivan E. Drischel, 90, passed away at 7:39 pm, Monday, May 2, 2011, in Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Marion, the son of the late Edward and Ethel (Wise) Drischel. He graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1938 and attended an agriculture class at Purdue University.
Ivan married Florence Clark on January 29, 1944, in Fairmount. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2007.
Mr. Drischel had been a farmer for over 50 years. He was a member of the Upland United Methodist Church, Arcana Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Ft. Wayne, Jefferson Township Advisory Board, and attended Grace Community Church, Marion.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (David) Rouzer, Sheridan, Arkansas and Kathryn (Richard) May, Siler City, North Carolina; a sister, Phyllis Olynger, Gas City; a sister-in-law, Marcella Drischel, Upland; two grandsons; and two great grandsons. In addition to his parents and wife of 63 years, he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis, and a sister, Dorothy Long.
