Ivadell A. Chamberlain, a lifelong Moscow resident, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Grtiman Medical Center. She was 82. Ivadell was born December 26, 1933 in Moscow to A. T. “Dutch” and F. Bernice Randall Green. She grew up and attended Moscow schools, graduating from Moscow High in 1951. She attended the University of Idaho for a time. She and Jack Chamberlain were married while he was home on leave from the Air Force on August 23, 1952 in Moscow. They lived, loved and worked in Moscow most of their lives. She worked for a time as the secretary for the Moscow Elks Lodge, and from 1973-1981 as secretary in the Home Economics Department at the University of Idaho. She and Jack lived in Worley, ID for a time where Ivadell worked as the coordinator for the Grass Growers Association managing the burn areas. They returned to Moscow in 1995. Ivadell cared for her mother until her death in 2001. Ivadell was a 50 year member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary as well as the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Roadrunners, enjoyed camping and quilting and was a member of the “Palouse Patchers”. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Jack, at their Moscow home, sons, Larry (Debbie Noreen) Chamberlain of Troy and Tim (Laurie) Chamberlain of Deary and daughters, Julie (Steve) Odenborg of Genesee and Sally (Jim) Lyon of Pasco, WA. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Ivadell was preceded in death by a grandson, Craige Heilman and a sister, Karol Hardisty.
