He is preceded in death by his parents, Sacramento and Angelita Casarez.
Left to cherish his memory are his spouse, Lupita Casarez; children, Ismael Casarez Jr. (Diane), Monica Becerra (Zenaido), Israel Casarez (Renee), Isaac Casarez, Diana Lopez, and Mary Hernandez; his grandsons, Freddie Leija and Israel Leija, who were raised as his own; 19 beloved grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Irene Cantu, Yolanda Casarez, Martha Escobar, and Lydia Ramirez; and numerous nephews and nieces.
