Isabelle T. Berner, a life-long Beacon resident, passed peacefully from this life on March 27, 2022 at her home in Beacon, NY; she was 102 years young. She was born in New York, NY on December 6, 1919, daughter of the late Anthony & Josephine (nee Briglia) DeGrazia.
Her beloved husband, Bernard Berner, predeceased her after 70-years of marriage on May 12, 2012.
Isabelle was a devoted & much loved wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even a great-great-grandmother. During the 1960s and 70s, she owned & operated the Kaleidoscope Dress Shop in Beacon for 10-years.
Isabelle was a fine artist, an avid painter; always loved creating new masterpieces. She was a woman before her times, speaking out in her community for what was right and against wrongs. Isabelle always made a friend with everyone she met, never uttering a bad word of anyone; she was always there helping others.
Isabelle is survived by her two daughters and one son: Patricia Barth, Anita Donofrio and her husband Nicholas, Joseph Berner and his wife Karen. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Nicholas Hockler, Terry Hockler, Michael Donofrio, Nicole Donofrio, Jason Berner and Valerie Berner and her five great-grandchildren & five great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband of 70-years of marriage, Isabelle is also predeceased by her two sisters and one brother: Gloria DeGrazia, Camilla Bila and Joseph DeGrazia.
