MAY’S LICK Irvin Samuel Jones, 78, of Maysville passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. He was a retired bulldozer operator.
Mr. Jones was born in Fleming County on February 26, 1935 son of the late Melvin Daniel & Anna Dugan Jones.
Survivors include his wife Anna Young Jones. A daughter, Andrea Lynn Jones of Lexington. Four step sons, Robert P. Emmons of Berea, Mark W. Emmons , Gary D. (Kathy) Emmons and Noel Anthony Emmons all of Maysville; six grandchildren, Brittana Turner, Amari Jones, Samuel Jones, Tierra Jones, Kalyn Emmons and Coty Emmons; A brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Jones of Maysville, Ruth Ann (Douglas) Brown of Maysville, Ruby (Bob) Gilpin of Cincinnati and Mildred Jones Downing of North Carolina. Several nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Joy Jones and a nephew, Danny (Sherri) Jones.
