Irmgard was born in Germany and emigrated to the US at age 19 and lived most of her life in New York.
She worked as a guidance office secretary in Rhinebeck, NY for many years until her retirement in 1999.
She met and married Walter H Budke, Sr and was married 59 years until his death in 2013. They had retired to Port St Lucie upon her retirement. She was a former secretary for the German-American club for many years in Port St Lucie and enjoyed singing at German Club events and attending many social events. She had recently relocated to Fairfield, Pa to be closer to family.
She is survived by her children, Susan(Ron) Freeman, Long Neck, De; Ellen(Robert)Oestrich, Westminster, Md; Peggy(Clifford) Lovelace, Fairfield, Pa and Walter(Tammi)Budke, Seaford, De. She is also survived by her brother Heinz Dreyer. In addition, Irmgard had many nieces and nephews.
Her 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren were her greatest joys. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter, and daughter, Sonja.
She will be missed by everyone that loved her including family, many friends, and former work associates.
