Irma Matus Irma Matus, 88, of Bethlehem Township, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital “” Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Joseph Matus, who passed away in 1979. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Csaszar) Csaszar. Irma worked in several local garment factories. She was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Bethlehem Township, as well as the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU), the Autumn Club of Bethlehem Township, and an Auxiliary Member of the Edgeboro- Pembroke Democratic Club. Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Roth and her husband Glenn, with whom she resided; son, Joseph Matus, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Coventry, CT; sister, Margaret Hawk of West Jefferson, NC; grandson Glenn Roth, Jr., and his wife Jayme. Irma was preceded in death by a sister Irene Ladics, and brothers Frank, Steve, and Louis Csaszar.
