Irma Jeanette (Mills) LaFary, 69, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
Irma was born on February 20, 1952, in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Clarence and Mary (Freddy) Mills.
Irma married the love of her life, James Richard LaFary, on June 4, 1976, in Jacksonville, Florida; they were married for forty-five wonderful years.
Irma was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church in Greenwood, Indiana and enjoyed serving as a teacher for Sunday school and junior church. She was a wonderful housewife, a loving mother, and the best grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Along with creating memories with her loved ones, she enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and reading her favorite books.
Irma is survived by her husband, James LaFary of Whiteland, IN; her three children, Erin (Chad) Clark of California, Alicia (Greg) Turner of Greenwood, IN, and James Robert LaFary of Whiteland, IN; her eight grandchildren, Aleavia Hodson, Gunner Hodson, Travis Clark, Camden LaFary, Owen Turner, Samson Turner, Gibson Turner, and Layne Turner; her two siblings, Winona Mozingo of Jacksonville, FL and Budson Mills of Fort Pierce, FL.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Mills, and her brother, Freddy Mills.
