Iris Arrieta (Martinez) left us peacefully to be with the Lord on December 18, 2016.
Born in Chile in 1929, she married Segundo Arrieta in 1944 and had 7 children. She was predeceased by her husband, Segundo Arrieta and her children, John Arrieta, Jimmy Arrieta, Iris Raith, Margarita Flores and Miguel Arrieta as well as her grandchildren, Jesus Alvarez and Frank Arrieta.
After coming to the states in 1947 from Argentina to raise their family, they settled in Newark, NJ. Iris worked as a factory worker all of her life .
Iris is survived by her beloved daughter, Emma del Carmen Alvarez, and son, Victor Segundo Arrieta, 11 grandchildren and 29 great/great grandchildren.
Along with the family that she loved, she also had her family in Christ, Nueva Vida en Cristo, Newark, NJ in which she was a member for the last 25 years.
