Mother Irie Lee Lambert, daughter of the late Will and Louise Roberts, was born on January 28, 1934 in Riceboro, Georgia. She was one of eleven children; seven preceded her in death. Mother Lambert entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
She was educated in the public schools of Liberty County. She received her cosmetology license in the early 60’s from Madame Cargo’s School of Beauty-culture in Savannah, GA. She owned and operated Lambert Beauty Salon in Riceboro, GA for over 45years.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Dea. Albert Lambert on September 8, 1951. To this union, they were blessed with five children. Her son EugeneLambert and her husband of 55 years, Albert Lambert, both preceded her in death.
Mother Lambert leaves a legacy of love, faith, courage, and commitment to her sons: Albert, Jr. (Janice)Lambert and Walter (Leola) Lambert both of Riceboro, GA; three daughters: Leola (Henry) McKally of Miami, FL, Elaine Lambert, and Yvonne Lambert both of Riceboro, GA; three god-sons: Richard (Emma) Barrett, Michael Barrett, and Jerard (Crystal)Roberts all of Riceboro, GA; one brother: Albert Roberts of Miami, FL, two sisters: Ellen (Jack) Paul of Miami, FL, and Annie Ash of Riceboro, GA, brother-in-laws: Israel Lambert of Miami, FL, and James Singleton of Savannah, GA; sister-in-laws: Berdie Stevens of Atlanta, GA, and Sadie Roberts of Riceboro, GA; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
