Iretta Jean (Savage) Luzier 76, of Masontown and Reedsville was called to heaven on Tuesday September 27, 2011 from Monongalia General Hospital. She was born in an original Arthurdale homestead March 13, 1935 a daughter of the late Clifford Earl and Mary Marie (Shaffer) Savage.
She was an active member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church where she served on the Pastor Parish Board, the Administrative Board, and the Board of Trustees serving as Chairperson for many years. She served on the Reedsville Town Council where she was instrumental in securing grants for facility improvements and new playground equipment in the park. She supported the recycling program run by the Mt. Vernon 4-H. She always had a faithful dog that she loved to walk. She was an avid sports fan attending all the games of her boys and her grandchildren. She kept the local birds well fed.
She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years James Foster Luzier; five sons Rod, Rick, James B., Bradley, and Jody Luzier all of the Valley area; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her good friend Lisa Krynicki.
She was preceded in death by; one grandson Burnie Blake; and two sisters Lucille May Dalton and Wanda Eileen Ackerman.
